1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AlienHost Logs (logs.alienhost.ovh), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.

This service is operated by AlienHost (alienhost.es). These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AlienHost.

2. Description of Service

AlienHost Logs is a free web platform that allows users to:

  • Share game server log files via a unique URL
  • Automatically detect the game type (Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Source Engine, etc.)
  • View syntax-highlighted log output with automatic analysis of common errors
  • Optionally request AI-powered analysis and recommendations
  • Access log content via a public API compatible with the mclo.gs specification

The service is provided on an as-is, as-available basis at no charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AlienHost Logs only for its intended purpose: sharing and analyzing technical log files from game servers and related software. You further agree that you will not:

  • Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Upload content that infringes any intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to submit large volumes of logs in a manner that degrades service for other users (beyond normal API usage)
  • Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures implemented by the service
  • Use the service to distribute malware, phishing content, or any other malicious material
  • Impersonate any person, organisation, or brand

4. Prohibited Content

You must not submit logs that intentionally contain any of the following:

  • Personal data of third parties without their consent, including full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or financial information
  • Authentication credentials such as passwords, API keys, private tokens, or database connection strings (our sanitizer attempts to remove these automatically, but you remain responsible)
  • Content belonging to others where you do not have the right to share it
  • Content that is illegal under Spanish law or the laws of your jurisdiction

Logs shared via this service are publicly accessible to anyone with the URL. We apply automatic privacy sanitization, but this is best-effort only. Never submit logs containing sensitive credentials or personal information you do not wish to make public.

5. Content Ownership and License

You retain full ownership of the log content you submit. By submitting content, you grant AlienHost a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

This license terminates when your log content is deleted (either by expiry or upon request). We do not claim ownership over your content and will not use it for commercial purposes.

6. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service. Please review it to understand our data practices.

7. API Usage

We provide a public API compatible with the mclo.gs specification. API access is subject to rate limits to ensure fair use. You may use the API in your own tools and applications provided you:

  • Comply with these Terms of Service
  • Do not attempt to exceed rate limits through technical workarounds
  • Credit AlienHost Logs or mclo.gs when relevant in your application's documentation

We reserve the right to suspend API access for any client that abuses the service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AlienHost makes no warranties regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of automatic or AI-generated log analysis
  • The continuous availability or uptime of the service
  • The security or confidentiality of submitted content
  • The effectiveness of the privacy sanitization feature

AI-generated analysis and recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as definitive technical advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlienHost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss or exposure of data submitted to the service
  • Damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated analysis
  • Service interruptions or data loss

In any event, AlienHost's total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed zero euros (€0), given that the service is provided free of charge.

10. Termination and Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any log content that violates these Terms of Service at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

All submitted logs are automatically deleted after the configured retention period (typically 7 days). You may request early removal of a log by contacting us with the log ID.

11. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. If you are under 16 and located in the EEA, you must have parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
